VILLAGES SERVED
Lakhimpur Kheri sits along the Indo-Nepal border, near Dudhwa National Park. It is home to the Tharu tribal community and many rural families who for generations have watched their young people leave in search of work.
LEADS exists to change that equation — to make staying possible, and to make staying dignified.
Garment-making, embroidery, fashion design, weaving, IT skills, and eco-friendly product development.
Helping artisans and trainees turn skill into income. Supporting women-led enterprises and farmer producer companies.
Traditional seed revival, craft traditions, and the practices that make a community itself.
Because staying in your home shouldn't mean being cut off from the world.
Aumtara teaches that true transformation happens on both sides of the self: within and around. LEADS is the outer face of that teaching.
When you join a workshop at Aumtara, part of what you fund is the livelihood of a woman learning to weave in Lakhimpur. When a woman in Lakhimpur builds her first business, part of what she funds is this sentence, arriving in your life.
Inner work. Outer change. Both, always.
Your contribution funds training, materials, and wages.
