WHO WE SERVE
Along the Indo-Nepal border.
Lakhimpur Kheri sits along the Indo-Nepal border, near Dudhwa National Park. It is home to the Tharu tribal community and many rural families who for generations have watched their young people leave in search of work.
LEADS exists to change that equation — to make staying possible, and to make staying dignified.

Aumtara teaches that true transformation happens on both sides of the self: within and around. LEADS is the outer face of that teaching.
When you join a workshop at Aumtara, part of what you fund is the livelihood of a woman learning to weave in Lakhimpur. When a woman in Lakhimpur builds her first business, part of what she funds is this sentence, arriving in your life.
